The college of Consultors for the Diocese of Broken Bay, together with the Bishop, constitute the body corporate under The Roman Catholic Church Property Trust Act 1936.

Section 6 and 10 (1) of the Act set out who has authority to apply the corporate seal and execute instruments on behalf of the body corporate. These duly authorized persons will be:

• the Bishop of the Diocese acting together with two other members of the body corporate; or in the alternative;

A charity has the option of treating any of its Non-profit sub-entities – separately identifiable branches - as separate entities for GST purposes.

CentacareBroken Bay has been acknowledged as an entity for taxation purposes being allocated ABN 71 616 242 198 and endorsed as an income tax exempt charitable entity under Subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 with effect from 1 July 2000.
